New Delhi [India]: World Environment Day par, 5 June 2024 ko, World Animal Protection ka Sandesh: Wildlife aur Farm Animals ka Zimmedari se Vyavhaar Karen

World Environment Day ke mauke par, jo 5 June 2024 ko manaya jayega, World Animal Protection ne sabhi praniyon, chaahe wo wildlife ho ya farm animals, ke zimmedari se vyavhaar ki maang ki hai. Isse unke kalyan aur paryavaran ki suraksha ko sahi tarike se kiya ja sakta hai.

World Animal Protection ke naye research ke anusar, lagbhag 5.5 billion wildlife animals ko vyavsayik wildlife farms mein kathor paristhitiyon mein rakha jata hai. Researchers ne paaya hai ki is multi-billion-dollar industry mein transparency ki kami aur monitoring mein kami hai, jahan jeevit praniyon ko kewal production line ke hisson ki tarah treat kiya jata hai. Kuch captive wildlife populations ab jungle mein jeene wale praniyon se bhi zyada badh chuke hain.

Case Studies aur Zaroori Karyavahi

Report mein kuch industries ko highlight kiya gaya hai jahan turant karyavahi ki zaroorat hai:

  1. China mein Bear Farming: Lagbhag 20,000 bears ko bear bile industry ki demand ko pura karne ke liye dozens of farms mein rakha jata hai.
  2. Thailand mein Elephant Breeding: Desh ke lagbhag 3,000 elephants ko captivity mein paida kiya jata hai aur 246 venues par tourism ke liye use kiya jata hai. 2010 se 2020 ke beech, elephant venues ki sankhya 134% se badh gayi hai.
  3. South Africa mein Lion aur Big Cat Farming: Lagbhag 8,000 big cats ko desh ke 366 known facilities mein paida kiya jata hai aur unhe tourist entertainment, trophy hunting aur traditional medicine ke liye Asia mein body parts exports ke liye use kiya jata hai.

Wildlife trade aur wildlife farming practices kai jagah legal hai, lekin researchers ab iske prabhav ko conservation aur animal welfare par question kar rahe hain. World Animal Protection ne exotic animals ki trade ki badhti gatividhiyon par chinta vyakt ki hai aur sabhi law enforcement agencies se is trade ko tackle karne ki maang ki hai.

Kayi pramukh influencers wildlife ko entertainment mein use karne ke virodh mein awaaz utha rahe hain. Jaipur mein ek elephant ke garmi ke karan girne ki ghatna dikhati hai ki yeh activity krur aur asahya hai. Elephants wildlife ka mahatvapurn hissa hain aur apne natural habitat mein ecology ko maintain karte hain. Unhe unke natural habitat se nikalna krurta hai aur environment par bhi prabhav dalta hai.

World Animal Protection ne Amer Fort aur Haathi Gaon ke elephants ko wildlife friendly sanctuaries mein retire karne ki maang ki hai. Koi bhi elephant transfer ko legal guidelines ke sath aur sahi tarike se kiya jana chahiye.

World Environment Day 2024 ka highlight land restoration, desertification ko rokne aur drought resilience par hai. Yeh kehna uchit hoga ki factory farming jo intensive conditions mein animals ko mass rear karti hai, environment ko nuksan pohchati hai aur animal welfare aur human health ke liye hanikarak hai. Vishwa bhar mein kayi studies ne establish kiya hai ki intensive animal rearing pristine forest habitat ko destroy kar deti hai aur wildlife ke natural habitat ko nuksan pohchati hai. Forests ko clear karna farmed animals ke liye feed grow karne ke liye wildlife ko dislocate karta hai jisse human-animal conflict badhta hai. Yeh practices multinational corporations dwara kiya jata hai jahan local logon aur environment ki welfare ko nazarandaz kiya jata hai. Yeh sab activities, climate change ke effects ke sath milkar desertification ko badhawa deti hain jo sustainable growth, human aur animal wellbeing aur environmentally responsible practices ke liye hanikarak hain.

World Animal Protection food system ko transform karne ke liye kaam kar raha hai jahan animals aur nature ko samman diya jaye. Hum ek aise food system ka sapna dekhte hain jo equitable, sustainable, resilient aur global population ko feed karne mein saksham ho. Hum logon se responsible choices lene aur plant-based protein options ki taraf shift hone ki maang karte hain, jo animals, logon aur planet ke liye beneficial hai. Yeh shift wildlife aur unke habitats ko bhi protect karta hai.

Hum governments, corporations aur individuals se appeal karte hain ki wild animals ko cruel exploitation se mukt karne mein madad karein, taki yeh prani apne natural habitats mein thrive kar sakein jo humanely protected hain sabhi living beings ke fayde ke liye. Yeh animal welfare, environmental protection aur wildlife conservation ko improve karega by addressing natural habitats ki destruction caused by intensive meat production.

Responsible food choices aur wildlife protection measures Prime Minister ke LiFE (Lifestyle For Environment) initiative ke sath align karti hain jo Ministry of Environment and Forests dwara promote kiya gaya hai. Toh aayein, World Environment Day ke is mauke par ek pratigya lein ki responsible choices lein jo animals aur unke habitats ko protect karein,” kehte hain Gajender Kumar Sharma, Country Director, World Animal Protection in India.

Hum dekh rahe hain ki poultry farming mein antibiotics ka atyadhik upyog ho raha hai, jo Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) ko badhawa de raha hai jo ab ek real concern ban gaya hai. Kayi research aur expert opinion ke anusaar, meat consumption ko kam karna aur animal products ko plant-based products se replace karna holistic health ke liye accha hai under the emerging concept of One Health, jo animal welfare, human health aur environmental protection ko encompass karta hai. Is disha mein, World Animal Protection ne 3rd Plant-Based Foods Summit of India mein bhag liya jo Plant-Based Foods Industry Association (PBFIA) dwara organize kiya gaya aur Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), aur Indian Chamber of Commerce dwara present kiya gaya. Yeh teesra varsh tha is remarkable annual summit ka. Ismein investors, corporates aur aniya attendees ke sath multifaceted presence thi, jisme collaboration opportunities propose ki gayi aur Indian Food Industry mein farm animal welfare ke liye advocacy ki gayi. Umeed hai ki aise activities environmentalism ko aage badhane mein madadgar honge jo United Nations ke World Environment Day 2024 ke tahat promote kiya gaya hai aur iske aage bhi.
